Are you a first-year student planning to live on campus next year? If so, consider joining Environment House, our Living and Learning Community in Bailey Residence Hall on the beautiful St. Paul campus!

Environment House is a special residence hall option only available to incoming freshmen who are pursuing environment-related majors like:

Environment House offers many opportunities to get to know students and professors in environmental-related majors through weekend retreats, numerous field trips, speakers, and special programs.

How do I apply?

Designating Environment House as one of your residence hall preferences is done through the normal housing application process (there is a special section on the application that asks whether you want to live in a Living and Learning Community). You can apply on-line after submitting your application to the University of Minnesota , even if you have not yet learned your admission status. The priority application deadline for living in Environment House during the academic year is usually early March. However, all applications after the priority deadline date will be considered on a space-available basis.
